Catholics/psalm 91 soldiers death

Question
I saw that a soldier died on 8/05 and was praying psalm 91 on daily. I truely believe in the integrity of this as the as the soldiers prayer and, I dont believe this young man was truthful in saying the prayer, bottom line.

Answer
This psalm of trust with ocnluding verses of salvation is a favorite.
I do not and cannot enter the mind of the soldier.  However, I do not see any inconsistency or untruthfulness in his devotion.  His dangerous situation would seem an appropriate backdrop for his petitions of safety.  I would give him the benefit of the doubt at the very least.
