Catholics/Demon attack in sleep.

Question
I had seen many very dark shadow figures for years in my old home in my youth.
My life led to many dark acts (promiscuity and such) and my father commited suicide in that home.
I moved away and still felt these shadows after me for  number of years. I was still in sin.

Thank the lord god they left me after I cleaned my life up and started anew. I returned to the Catholic church am married with children. Trying to be as honest and not sin as much as I can.  ( I have not been honest to some people close to me and I have taken things that arent mine--working on that)
Twice now though, I have had dreams of being back in that old home where my father commited suicide, in my dream I was attacked or "possessed" suddenly by these demons or dark figures. I can actually feel vibrations throughout my body. In my dream I fall over curled up.  This last dream I prayed the Hail Mary which hardly came out then I prayed Our Father who art in heaven and I woke up.  What could this meen?  I am scared to death.  I actually felt it. I truly believe there is evil and it attacked me.  I dont want someone to think I'm crazy. Please help. I need prayer.

Answer
Hi, Rebecca:
Thanks for the comments...
I am sorry to hear of your troubles, and the tragedy of your father's suicide.
I certainly don't think you are crazy.  Just be strong, and get fortified through the Grace of God.  Perhaps ask a Priest to bless your home, and do a minor exorcism over the habitation.  Remember the words from Night Prayer:
Brethren, be sober and watchful for your adversary the devil goes about like a roaring lion seeking to devour you.  Resist him steadfast in the faith.

Past/Present Clients
I serve 3-small, rural Parish Communities in Easter North Dakota
I converted to the Roman Catholic Church in 1981, at the age of 15. Over the years I have done work as an organist, cantor, and choir director for the Latin Rite (English & Latin) Mass (Liturgy of the Eucharist), and even for the Hours of the Divine Office. I have worked as a cantor for a Melkite Byzantine Catholic Church. Presently my pastoral and administrative duties as a Catholic Priest do not allow me as much time as I used to have to devote to Sacred Music; but for my weekend Masses and Solemnities within my Tri-Parish, I offer High Sung Mass in English. Weekday Mass is typically Low Mass (recited Mass) in English, though on occasion I will offer the "Tridentine Mass" in Latin, which I usually offer on my "Day Off", as well. And now, in light of the "Motu Proprio" by his Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI placing the extraordinary usage of the Roman Rite back into the mainstream of the Catholic Church, I have been offering a regularly scheduled SUN, 2:00 PM Tridentine Latin Mass with a community of the faithful that has a stable existence.
