Question
Good afternoon. I am a word minister keen to do a course n Homelitics. Are they reserved only for seminarians ? Can a lay person do it in  the seminary? It will be useful for me to conduct  Bible classes in the parish. Pax christie, James N Bombay India

Answer
There is nothing known as a "word minister" in the traditional Catholic Faith.  Only priests preach; therefore, only they would need instruction in homiletics, the giving of sermons.  You must be referring to the New Order sect, not the traditional Catholic Church.
