Question
My college age son has shown little interest in our faith until now. Due to recent events, including changes in the sun's tilt on its axis and absence of sunspots, he asked mr what scripture says about changes in the sun at the end times.  How can I find this?

Answer
Hi... you have to do a keyword search of the Bible, narrowing down your search to those books which you suspect have relevant info (e.g. Revelation)

Here are two good online searches that will allow you to do this. Although the menus may look a bit formidable at first, if you just take time to figure it out you should be fine. And don't be afraid to try things. These websites are both reputable so there's no harm in just trying out different things.

Tip: try to use the same words that you believe will match the translation of the Bible you choose.

Expertise

I'm a progressive Catholic--not a liberal, conservative nor a single-minded critic of Catholicism. I simply believe that adults in the 21C should use the mind God gave them and not just repeat ancient and medieval modes of thinking.

I can probably help with questions that intelligently and respectfully question those aspects of Catholicism that are not infallible. But if you're looking for someone to vigorously defend or perhaps refute Catholicism as a whole, that's not me. So please ask another expert.

Experience

I run an educational website earthpages.org and know what the web has to offer. I might suggest hyperlinks and/or book titles as I have a Ph.D. in Religious Studies and a considerable personal library.
