Question
Respected Father,
I would like to know more about the below given verses from John which says Jesus and father are One. What does it exactly mean, does it mean that Jesus and God is in the same way of faith and thinking or it means they are one being.
"I and my Father are ONE." John 10:30

Also, let me know whether anywhere in the original Hebrew manuscript of New Testament the tetra gammon YHWH is mentioned. If not what does the following verse mean, "And I have made your name known to them and will make it known".(John 17:26).

Please clarify.

Regards,

binu Cleetus

Answer
Your question was delayed in coming to me until today.

This verse is an expression of the Trinitarian nature of God:  Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, one God in three divine Persons.

In the second verse, it is not necessary to take "name" so literally.  When it is said that the name of God is glorified, the reference is not to a particular word, but to the concept of the Godhead and the divine plan for creation and redemption.
