Question
I have read that Saint Francis of Assisi became an angel, the Angel Rahmiel. In the book of Saint Margaret of Cortona,a Franciscan, she says that Saint Francis was seated on the throne of Lucifer as a seraph. Is Saint Francis now the highest angel or is it Saint Michael? Who is the highest angel?

Answer
Peace

dear Ace

St Francis of Assisi did not become angel. The vision story read about points to the fact Lucifer lost his postion due to pride, and St. Francis gained a place of honor because he was humble.
Who is the highest angel? My vote is St Michael but its God's vote that really counts.

I am willing to attempt to answer any question. If I don’t know the answer, I will look-up or pass the question on to friends for feed back. Beside Catholicism (especially the social/moral and the Eastern rites), I am well read on Mormonism and so-called Modern Christian Fundamentalism. Also I study Franciscan History as means of growing in my lay Franciscan calling to holiness in Christ.
