Catholics/Baptism

Question
The Catholic Church has infant baptisms.  However, many couples today are not baptizing their children as infants because they are no longer active in their Church.  So, should the Catholic Church do away with infant baptism?  If so, when should the child receive Baptism?

Answer
Dear Michael:

The Catholic Church should not do away with infant baptism. The Catholic Church does not make up it's doctrine based on the likes or dislikes of people. I don't understand why you would think that the Church should change doctrine based on the beliefs of ex-Catholics?

Have a blessed day,
