Catholics/Eternal Happiness

Question
1.  What is Eternal Happiness?
2.  The Lord promises us Eternal Life.  What is all the gifts promises by the Lord?  I know of some: body, talent, etc.

Answer
I must admit that I really can't even begin to describe all of what is promised for eternity to those who have the joy of spending it in God's company.  We don't get sick, we don't get tired, we can go anywhere instantly (almost as if we were spiritual angels) and yet also manipulate material objects directly as we do now, we cannot die, and so forth.  As the Scripture says, "eye has not seen and ear has not heard..." so I for one prefer to refrain from speculating on what something no one living has ever seen would look like or what no one living has ever heard would sound like.  But really, the only things we truly know is that it is good, and who it is that will be there, namely the saints and everyone who has been like them.  This is why it is good to know of their lives and works as to know them is to wish to be with them forever, adoring the same God.  And that is also the main glory of Heaven, namely seeing God.  I believe this entails coming to learn more and more from Him and of Him, forever for He is infinite and the one and only Being who can never bore us or let us down or disappoint us in any way, even for all of forever.
What all of this is actually to be like I am humbled in the face of it to even attempt a stab at describing it, but there is so much of it that we do not and cannot know.
For myself, I prefer to concentrate on righteousness for it's own sake and for God's rather than for some reward that, great as it doubtlessly must be, I really know extremely little about.  The righteousness that God desires in all of us is itself a truly beautiful thing and worth seeking for its own sake, and worth seeking to be around those who share it.
Although my signature line reads "How deeply would you like to explore this?" in this case, the one and only way to explore this any deeper is to attain Heaven yourself and see then what exactly it is all about.  Sorry I cannot provide any more answers to what you want to know.
