Question
What is revelation?

Answer
Dear Michael:

Revelation is the last book of the New Testament. It was written by the Apostle St. John in about 68-69 A.D. It gives a vision that Jesus gave to his beloved disciple. It tells of great persecution that would come upon the young Church. John implores Christians to stand fast during the persecution. The book originally referred to the Jewish persecution of the Church and the destruction of Jerusalem. The book does have great applications to every age of Christianity.
