QUESTION: At last my question is answered. I was confused as to which Bible I should buy. you solved it. I live in Mumbai. I am 34 years old. i convereted to Christianity in year 2005 and I read the online vesrion of holiest treasure for mankind that is Douay Rheims Bible.

Now There is a big problem for me How do I get the Paperback print here as none of them have it. The Christians do not respect me. I told them that the KJV is wrong and they told me to get out. I was very sure that the latinvulgate version and the similar Douay Rheims Bible are  correct, honest bibles. Be sure to check www.latinvulgate.com
Sir what should I do ? I am neglected by Christians here in India.

ANSWER: Dear Shon:

I really can't offer much help. I don't know what is available in India. If you can't get your favorite Douay Rheims try another Catholic Bible. Don't get tied down to only one version. I find it's actually better to read more than one version.

QUESTION: Dear Sal
        Thankyou once again. I want to say that the Douay Rheims is the mot precious gem for Christians. It is direct connection with the Supreme Almighty Jesus Christ. I spend atleast 8 hours reading the Bible and I have read The Jerusalem Bible, The American ASV Bible and the KJV. I will still stay that the St. Jerome's Bible and his transltions is the most accurate of all. I bet and I commit, what I say. As for reading other translations, Sal it is not a wise thing. "No one can sail in two boats at a time" The other transaltions have errors inside it and some of the words are absolute error, and Christ has not said anything like that. The St. Jerome's Bible , this is the true name, for which you can refer the Douay Rheims and the English translation, of the Latin Vulgate is correct and they both are same. I agree with the post of the ealier instruction on this page and therefore made me write. I live in  India, where there are all Hindus and so it is difficult to get the pristine treasure of our Dear Lord's message, that is absolutely clear in the Douay Rheims. I visit the beautiful Church in Bandra , which is in Mumbai. St. Mary's Baptist Church. I really feel nice to talk to you. Sal There is no true Bible than the Douay Rheims Bible.

It's great that you read the Bible so much. Other Catholics should try to do likewise. I pray that other Catholic do read this post and that it helps them to read their Bible more. If you love the DR Bible then by all means stick with it.
