Catholics/Excommunication

Question
Hello,
My sister was born and raised catholic, she is marrying a man who was also raised catholic. They have decided to get married in a greenhouse, with a pastor whose religion I am not sure of, but it is not catholic. She has asked me to be the maid of honor, will I be excommunicated for participating in this wedding?
Thank you for your time,
God Bless
Katie

Answer
Kathryn,
Thanks for your question.  To the best of my knowledge, the answer to your question is, "no" you won't be ex-communicated.

For your sister's sake, I hope they attend church together as without God and Faith in a marriage, the chances of its success drop dramatically.
God bless,
Charlie
