I'm personally what most would call a partial preterist believing that 1 Thess. 4:13-17, 1 Cor. 15, and a few other passages point to a literal end of time, a universal judgment, and eternity in Heaven or Hell, but the majority of the New Testament (in addition to establishing Christianity) speaks to the fall of Jerusalem, the end of Judaism (AD 70), and the victory of the church.
