My own sister hates me and put an expensive Voodoo curse on me.  My life has been extremely unhappy from babyhood.  I supposedly have been delivered twice from demons.  The first time, it was a demon to whom I had been exposed as a young child, since my mother frequented people who used Santeria.  The second incident involved a so-called Water Spirit that attaches to women and dominates them.  I don't know what to make of these claims by highly religious women.  Are they mentally ill?  Are they spiritually or psychically powerful? Everyone says that the woman who delivered me the first time is extremely gifted.  She was cured miraculously from a crippling accident and ever since has had these powers.  Yet she is a troubled person in many ways.  Would God give gifts to such a person?  If so, then why does he allow her to remain so unpleasant to others?

I have a very hard life, am doing EXTREMELY poorly.  For two years, I went to church very frequently, prayed abundantly and took the Eucharist often.  Yet I am still down and out.  Horrible things happened to me.  It seems that God has either forgotten me, doesn't care or has chosen to make me miserable in this life.  Are any of these things possible?  Is the cause of my suffering related to the Voodoo that my sister put on me?  Why does God allow me to suffer so much?  Why doesn't God answer my prayers?  I can not go on like this.  I have stopped attending church and praying since it never seems to work and God doesn't seem to love me either way.  Your comment would be appreciated.

first of all I am absolutely sure that your sister's voodoo has nothing to do with your condition.
voodoo can do nothing at all; it is only a foolish superstition.

I am sorry for your sufferings; sometimes life can be so hard.
However I know that the Lord loves each of us infinitely.
I know that the Lord loves you and He certainly listens to your prayers.
There is certainly a good reason why God does not answer your prayers, but I know that He certainly listens to you and He loves you so much.
Go on praying the Lord and ask Him to give you His inner peace.
