Catholics/Holy Spirit

Question
I was just wondering if the term, "holy spirit" is unique to Christianity, or if it has other origins?

Answer
James, as far as I know, the application of Holy Spirit to a Person of the Godhead comes from Christianity, which borrowed the term Spirit [a rather common word in many cultures] and then with the addition gave it a new meaning.
I hope these feeble thoughts help.
Best wishes.
