Question
QUESTION: Hello.

Is it ok or allowed for a church to hold only liturgy of the word three out of four Sundays' a month. We may have this happening in our church and a group of us are not happy and we want to know if it is allowed or not.

ANSWER: "Liturgy of the Word" is part of the invalid New Order service, not the Traditional Catholic Latin Mass.  That is why you are getting gross abnormalities.  If you want to attend the true Mass, see the geographical listing at www.traditio.com/nat.htm.  You might also be interested in the information presented in the Novus Ordo Service Photo Gallery at www.traditio.com/nos.htm.

QUESTION: SO it's not allowed. The reason I ask is our priest is leaving in July and a new one isn't available till October. The person in charge is not catholic and said that the Deacon can just to liturgy of the word for the whole four months. When we explained we'd run out of consecrated hosts she said ok the budget would allow for a priest to come for a full mass for once a month.  It's common belief amongst our congregation that they may be trying to shut down our church. but if have liturgy of the word three out of four weeks is against the catholic rules as much of us think then we can take it to the Bishop and fight it

Answer
What you are talking about is the invalid Novus Ordo (New Order) service.  It is a product of the unCatholic "modernizations" introduced by the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini in the Vatican II period.  It isn't a Mass anyway, with or without the Novus Ordo "Liturgy of the Word."  You really need to get to a real Mass, the Traditional Latin Mass.  Take time to study carefully the references that I gave you in the previous message.  You sound quite confused at this point about what a true Mass is.
