Question
I am Catholic, mainly I want to know if it is possible to balance the two religions? for example, if I were to get in a serious relationship with a male who is SDA, could I somehow still practice being Catholic? and how bad is the differnce between the two religons?

Answer
Dear Steph:

Yes, it is possible for two people to be happily married and yet be of different faiths. It would be difficult, but possible. In the case you propose it would be particularly difficult. SDAs traditionally view the Catholic Church as the personification of evil. They see the Pope as the anti-christ. So you can see the great difficulty if the Catholic party took her faith seriously. The marriage would be the happiest if neither party took their religion too seriously. In that case they could attend their particular worship services, perhaps even together, and not discuss religion.

Have a great day,
