Question
I currently live in France.  My 11 year old son will be participating in a Profession Of Faith Ceremony this year.  This is performed after First Communion but before Comfirmation.  I know nothing about this ceremony and would like to undertand what it is.  The night before the ceremony the participants recieve their cross.  I also need to understand what that is.  Thank you for your help.

Answer
I have not heard of it either.  My suspicion is that it is something having to do not with the traditional Catholic Faith, but with the New Order sect.  You need to be sure that you are dealing with a fully traditional Catholic site, not one associated with the New Order (Novus Ordo).
