Question
Mr. Ruby:  In response to your recent comments on those Catholics who question the liceity of the ministrations of traditionlist "clergy", may I direct you to the following article:

Answer
There really is nothing there.  Though it makes vague appeals to ancient fathers, popes, councils etc., it can never once cite any instance in which the Church has ever taught that Her lawful ministers must ALL be disregarded (amounting to a repudiation of Her sacred visibility), as though the whole Church could ever continue for even a second as the same entity while being wholly deprived of Her hierarchy.  The idea that the whole Church needed to read some book by some schmoe no one ever heard of in order to know the real and secret "truth" unrevealed to all others, or even to be saved is patently absurd on its face.
Although I don't know what recent comments of mine would be referred to, the article presented makes no effort to address so much as a single point I have ever raised over my many years as a published Catholic writer against those who would atomize the Church by attempting to deprive Her of all clerical recognition.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see why my points cannot be so much as mentioned as any of them alone is enough to blow home-alonism right out of the water for good.
The real problem here is that they have spent so much time and effort attempting to "prove" where the Church IS NOT that they have utterly forgotten and even abandoned the search for where the Church IS, and this kind of negativity is itself what warrants response, no any supposed success of a position that can only die off over time as no one converts to it and those already in it can only fall away in numbers.  If even one such soul could be rescued, that would justify the efforts of those of us who refute it to the utter satisfaction of any objective inquirer.
