Question
I heard at a catholic retreat the other day that the United Methodist Church and the RCC are more united than many realize and the RCC says that the UMC are not considered fundamentalist like baptist and such... and they are consider Christians in the eyes of God...How is this when they don't have all the sacraments we do? This was even applauded by many priest, i thought they were heretics? thanks!
P.S. My parish priest said that they are considered christian as well..hmm??

There is many similarity between the Catholic Church and the historical doctrines of the UMC but they are drifting apart to modernism and similar "isms". I personal know 3 former Methodist who either joined the Catholic Church or an Eastern Orthodox community for that reason.
If they have valid baptism, any sect could possible be Christian, even some types of Baptist.
