QuestionQUESTION: I am trying to find an online daily sspx mass on the internet to post on a traditional Catholic facebook page I am making.
can you help? Can you recomend anything?
thanks
ANSWER: If the goal is to educate people as to what the Catholic Mass really looks like, it is best to find some Mass tape (or now, DVD) that shows it rather than trying to find some life webcam feed of any Masses. Perhaps if it is in the public domain you could post it (in sections) on You tube. But perhaps your goal is to provide access to a living Mass for those who cannot reach it, or at least to be able to point to one such. That really is not the preferred course for those who have such distance as to be unable to attend, rather using the prayers from the Sunday Missal are really the way for them to go. I know at times some very few less-educated traditional clerics have on a rare occasion or two briefly provided such, but often received only criticism for making it seem as if the blessings of assistance at Mass might be obtained over the distance of the internet. Sacraments must be obtained in person in order to be of any effect. By the same token one cannot receive the Sacrament of penance validly over the phone or internet; it must be done in person with the priest.
Sorry I could not point you to one, God bless!

QUESTION: I know its not really what fulfills a day of obligation, i know that. But televised masses played a major role in my conversion. The Televised Novus Ordo Mass from St. Michael's Cathedral in Toronto is one of the things which converted me and watching a video clip of the Traditional Latin my was the deciding factor in me becoming a Trad. My goal is not for Trads to fullfil their obligation online, but for non Trads to be able see the traditional Latin Mass, hear the sermon and experience the traditional liturgical year in all its glory. for this while I do apporove of mass translations (i have them on my site already) I want a video feed on the mass (many of my non trad friends said that they would watch a video rather than read a missial)I want people to know what the Latin Mass and the Traditional Liturgical year is really like. So, do you know of any online feeds?
AnswerI don't know of any online feeds, or I would have given one to you. Your best bet would be to upload onto You-tube or wherever a video recording of a Mass (snippets of one in black and white appear in various parts of the program, "What We Have Lost ... And the Road to Restoration") for people to see. What is neat about that black and white recording from which the snippets in that they are all from the pre-Vatican II era, which is to say, what everyone Catholic or not knew to be the Mass, only a couple generations ago. Indeed, I cannot think of a better presentation for beginners. It can be found lots of places as brought out with this:

and is also available on DVD here:

I have just found that if you do this search on You-tube, lots of Masses come up:

Hope that helps, God bless.
