Catholics/Bible Church

Question
I am a Catholic and a very strong Catholic. I go to mass daily and pray throughout the day including the rosary. I have started attending a young people's group at a church called McLean Bible Church and I've become active in their activities. I wonder if this is wrong because its not Catholic. I continue very much to practice my Catholic faith and never will change that. So I feel its okay to get involved at this other church as well. I feel as if I will take what I get with the people at this Bible Church group and use it in my Catholic Church. Am I right or is this a sin?

Answer
Yes, it is a contravention of the First Commandment.  You are risking your Faith by exposing yourself to a false religion.  You should be sure to engage in truly Catholic study.  The most certain are those works published before around 1963 with an imprimatur.  After that period, you are likely to get works infused with the odor of the heresy of Modernism.
