Dear Sal,

              Wow I didnt know that a rabbit symbolised new life in christ? I actually have a rabbit for a pet lol she is so cute and friendly very lovible and affectionate. She is such a baby lol. I can't believe its lent season already I gave up fast foods and unhealthy foods so lets see how I do lol. I am trying to get to my goal weight which is a size 12 about the average size of a female. But I was curious since Jesus founded the catholic church in 33 AD and since our church is 2040 years old by now. Did he simply say that we still have to eat biblical foods? Of course Jesus said man cannot live on bread alone. What are the foods that Jesus said its okay for us Catholics to eat? I am not that crazy about pork even though its a food of my culture. I just dont like the taste. I like Lamb more, and and pita bread, even Jewish and urban foods more than american which is too greasy for me. Yuk. I do like some american like the classics meatloaf and mashed potatoes ect. But what did Jesus eat so I can walk in his footsteps? Can you shed some light here? I am struggling with eating junk food and I want to learn how to eat right and not go back. Jesus wants his children to be healthy and I want to be healthy so how can I be right with God.

Get yourself some good books on nutrition. Get a diet low in fat and sugar to eat healthy. Don't concern yourself with what Jesus ate. You do not have to eat as he did in order to follow him. If we had to do everything that Jesus did in order to follow him we would have to worship on the Sabbath (Saturday) and keep all the Jewish holy days. Jesus kept all those Jewish things because he was a Jew born under the Old Covenant (Galatians 4:4). We are not Jews born under the Old Law. We are under the New Covenant. Jesus saved us from the Old Covenant under which no one could be saved. So eat healthy and get regular exercise.
