Question
What is the position of the Church on artificial birth control, such as birth control pills. is there any for of artificial birth control that is acceptable?

Thank you

Jo

Answer
The Church opposes the pill and opposes any means of artifical birth control as a violation of natural law, i.e., that all acts of coitus must be open to the transmission of human life.

However, despite the Church's official position, this is a quite controversial subject in the Church and many theologians and pastors disagree with this position.
