Catholics/Canon Law

Question
Hi,
The church I go to is looking at buying a catholic parish that was closed about 4 years ago and we put an offer in and it was accepted but there was a few conditions.  1 That we would contatct them if we were ever to resell the property.  2 That we were not to demolish the building. And 3 That we were not to practice any thing that was inconsistant with the catholic church. Now this is not the exact wording of the contract but it's close, we have no problem with contacting them if we resell because we wouldn't sell it to just anyone (ie club owners etc.)  We don't plan on demolishing it's not that old of a building but we might expand.  We have a question about the third, what does incosistant mean? In the contract is says that the land will always be catholic and if we break any one of the three that they reserve the right to reclaim the land.  We are not catholic so are faith is going to be incosistant with the catholic teaching. I was just wondering if you knew the words meaning in more leagal catholic terms.  We did ask them to define it and we are waiting on their reply. I was just trying to find out before hand.
Thanks,
Your brother in Christ.
Greg

Hi,
Do you know how to find any info on the selling of a parish?  Is it in canon law or do you know what set of guidelines/rules it would be in?
I haven't been able to find anything, there has to be some guidelines, right?
I live in the diocese of London in Ontario, Canada.
Thankyou and God bless.

Dear Greg
I would believe you might find your answers in Canon Law,
under: Book:IV Part:III Title:I Chapter:I and Book V. Below is a link to the 1983 Canon Law. There may have changes since then, but its a good starting point.
