Question
What are the major differences between the Catholic Church and the Church of England?

Answer
                        Peace

Dear Brandy Williams
The Catholic Church was founded by the Lord Jesus, the Messiah and Savior. The "COE" was found by the man, who was the King of England. His name was Henry VIII.
The above was the simple answer, if you want details it can get very complex. In the beginning they very much alike in ritural and doctrine but as time went on the "COE" came more and more "protestant" in ritual and doctrines. Today the many sub-movements with "CoE", which is also called Anglican Communion. The "AC" is a group of communities that were basicly spin-offs of the orginal "CoE",in the colonies of England. Some are a very Catholic in ritual and doctrine, and are sometime called Anglo-Catholics. Other groups more "protestant"-like and some just Christian in Name.
I would recommend the autobiography of John Henry Newman, who was CoE minister who became Catholic. He even came a Cardinal of Rome. The was kinda written to explain to his family, especially a sister who husband was an CoE Bishop. The title is in Latin  usually and do have mine handy. He wrote many other books also. He was vey active in the Anglo-Catholic group called: the Oxford Movement.
Oh their is another John Henry Newmann but he was slave trader who convert from protestantism to CoE. He wrote one of the most loved hymns: Amazing Grace.
Both men are of worthy of repect but I choice the cardinal as the most honorable.

Write me again in a few days,so  I can check my books and other collections, then give you some title suggestions
