Question
Sal,
I have read many of your answers to questions in this forum along with the other experts and admire how well you explain the Church teachings and how you defend "Her".
I have read the answers from "The Father" and others like him and ask you this; What is your opinion of the so called "Traditional" catholic who would say that mass must be said in Latin according to the pre Vatican 2 formula?  Also, in your opinion, why do these so called "Traditional" catholics seem to hate the Catholic Church that emerged post Vatican 2?

Answer
Dear M.M:

The idea that the Mass must be said in Latin is nonsense. They want the "old days" and go so far as to say that the Pope is wrong. The Church as upheld the validity of both the Tridentine Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo Mass. To say otherwise is to oppose the Church.

The "Traditionalists" want the "old days" when thing were, in their minds, much better for Catholics. They remember only the good and not the bad of the old days. Just like the secularists that long for the good old days, they need to move on. We should all work to better society and the Church in the current age and not try to go back to the past.

God Bless You,
Sal
