Question
Dear George

Is it true that the Vatican states that fragments of the True Cross, i.e. the one that Christ died upon, exist? If so- do you believe this and if you do so- what evidence backs up the veracity of this theory?

Thanks

Steve

Yes, there have been various claims to such over the centuries by various Vatican authorities. I can believe such or not, its not a matter of doctrine. I believe its possible.
As for evidence, historical documents related to various claimed fragments. Items just as old if not older or obsecure have been found.
My faith is in Christ, not the wood He died on.
