Catholics/Curious Need to know

QuestionDear Sal,
You really help me stay in my faith a lot. I can never thank you enough. Yes I believe that your correct on the catholic church being founded by Jesus Son of God. As you may know I have a few questions again to ask I am studying the bible because I want to be a Theologian & a Catechisism teacher for 1-5 grade. I am very Knowledgible in that area. I believe that is where God wants me to be in the first place. Did Jesus Christ the Messiah drank wine pure from grapes like a grape juice or alcahole? I am wandering what they drank at the last supper. Also when Jesus returns will he gather up all the catholics and say good job? AND tell us to come home to heaven. Are we those elect the sheep in the bible and the man-made churches are they the goats in the parable of the separation from the sheep and the goats. Why did the women stop wearing viels in the church I still wear my viel sometimes when I pray in Mass that always puzzled me Sal. Didnt that puzzle you in a way? The hosts in the mass that symbolizes the bread in the Eucharist the body of Christ is that the manna from Moses times?
AnswerDear Jacqueline:
At the Last Supper Jesus drank alcoholic wine not grape juice.
Jesus will most certainly not gather up all Catholics and say, "Good job." Many Catholics are not faithful to the teachings of the Church. Those Catholics who are not faithful are not pleasing to God.
The elect sheep will be all those who are faithful to God. This group will include Catholics, non-Catholic Christians as well as non-Christians.
Women stopped having to wear veils to Mass after Vatican Council II. The wearing of veils was a custom and as such could be changed by the Church.
The hosts do not symbolize anything. They are the actual Body of Christ after they are consecrated. The manna in Moses' time was a type of the Eucharist to come. Moses fed the Israelites with manna from heaven and Jesus feeds us with his Body. The water Moses supplied the Israelites with during their wanderings was a type of the Blood of Christ.
God Bless You,
Sal
