                      Peace to You

Dear Jon
  Now for a few answers.

1. God is God, man is man. God did create man to be like Him in some ways, such begin rational.

2. Those who just blame Eve are not good Bible reads, nor do they understand Catholic doctrine on such. In the New Testament is states sin entered into the world through one man, and God's grace comes to via Jesus(true God and true Man).

3. Babies are not born sinner!! They are born with whats called Original Sin. Its basicly, we born with a tendency to sin. Its one effects of Adam and Eve's sin. Its not a passing of guilt.

4. We justified before God the Father, through the atoning death of Christ on Cross. By Faith and Works we grow in your restored relationship with the Father. Here's a brief overview of what Catholics believe:

As Catholics,we believe "As the Bible says: we are already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5-8),but we are also being saved
(1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12),and we have the hope that we will be saved (Rom. 5:9-10, 1 Cor. 3:12-15).

So,like the apostle, St. Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling(meaning in of awe of God's mercy) (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises
of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11-13). Most non-Catholics teach once we are justified/saved (in first use the word)we can do nothing that would ban us from Heaven.

5. In NT we read all things are "lawful" for the believer but not all things are good for us. So through the Church's Christ guides us in such manners. For example during the Church season before Easter most Catholics are forbidden to eat Flesh Meat. Its not evil but we dont eat it to develop displine over the ourselves.

6.The proper name of the Catholic feast is: the Commemoration  of the Navitity (birth) of our Lord Jesus the Christ. A Commemoration means it may not have happened on that but thats the day we celebrate the event anyways. Some of the earliest writtings that mention the feast date before the year 200 AD, and say it was His actual birthdate.

7. Jesus is an Israeli, of the tribe of Judah. Christian spread there faith from there. Catholics hold Rome special because thats where St. Peter died, and where his successor lives there. We believe before Jesus returned to the Father, he appoint the apostles and in a special way St. Simon-Peter the leaders of the Church. Their successors are the Bishops of the Church, today.

8. Sad to it, Christmas has become commerialized. Yet, we Catholics via the Church season before it, are called to recall its real meaning and purpose.

9.Simply put fashions change, yet we are all called to dress modesty.

10. see answer 9. Also not because of Mary but because Christ. Mary is example for generation, calls us to do be an example in ours for the glory of Christ.

11. Folklore say Mary died at the age of 72, in the city of Ephenus. Sacred Dogma of the Catholic Church say she was Assumed up to Heaven by God by the merits of Christ.

12. Catholics are allowed to drink of the vine, a number of Protestant Churches forbid it.
