Catholics/Does God change your calling

QuestionDear Sal,
I have in the past thought I had a calling to become a nun but then I was praying and praying over it. I found out deep in my prayers that I was using the nunnery as a safe haven. Because of the past issues. I am trying not to be afraid of dating. So I when to the doctors and he said that I have Post tramatic disorder. I felt sad because I never get a break with my issues. So I now no that I want to be a mom one day. A mom of five if I can lol. And raise them to be catholic! I have a question though do you know any traditional catholic churchs in newark? I want to have one day the archbishop to marry my future husband and I and baptize the children. That means a lot to me. I was talking to my friend Christina yesterday and she was shocked because we were going to do a mall gathering with my friend Brian and Dina, Christina and her boyfriend Kevin, then Luis and I. My friend was talking about it on the phone with her friend Luis whom is catholic. He will be 19 today. She said that it was funny but odd at the same time that he was curious if I was attenting the gathering. She goes I am curious I dont know if he likes you likes you or just wants to meet you. But then she said why did you ask if she is going and he stopped talking and got embarrest. I think that is a sign.do you? He is Italian. A very sweet guy. Christina hopes that Luis likes me more then a friend lol. And is hell a real place how do you get to heaven?
AnswerDear Jacqueline:
I don't believe that God changes one's calling, but we may not truly find out what our calling actually is immediately. It takes longer for some than others to find out what one's calling is.
I don't know of any traditional Catholic churches in Newark.
Yes, hell is very real.
We get to heaven by obeying God and His Church. If we love our neighbor and try to do what is right we will get to heaven. Always look to the Catholic Church for guidelines on what sin is. Reading books about saints will help us obtain heaven, too.
Good Luck,
Sal
