Catholics/Guidance on a series of dreams

Question
Dear Tom,
I have had a series of dreams that I think may be God trying to tell me something, but I don't know and I am a little worried about talking to my priest for fear that he will think I am a kook!  I should also mention that I am going through a difficult time now, my wife and I are separated and my Mom is in a nursing home and getting back together with my wife and getting my Mom into an assisted living facility are pretty much all I pray for.
About ten days ago, I had a dream that I was in the Garden of Gethsemene watching Jesus pray then he turned to me and asked me to join him in prayer and I did and that is all I remember.  The next dream was a two days later and I was at the foot of the cross and drops of Jesus' blood were falling on me and he asked me something, I think it was if I loved Him and I said yes and then that is all I remember.  Then, the third dream was two days later and dreamed that I was at the foot of the cross, but this time, I jumped up onto it and hugged Jesus and then suddenly all of the wounds of Jesus shot out rays of light.  Then, I woke up.  Last night, I dreamed that I was with my mother on my left and my wife on my right and Jesus and St. Therese walked up to us and they had yellow roses.  Jesus said something to St. Therese and she gave me the roses, but then, she told me that I had to give one to my wife and one to my mother and at first, I didn't want to because she had given me only two, but then I gave them, as she told me and I woke up and said aloud, "Thank You God for this Glorious Day."
Do you have any ideas about whether this all means anything or if I they are just dreams.  I have dreamed of St. Therese before, but never Jesus.
Thanks,
Richard

Answer
Richard,

I'm certainly no psychiatrist or analyst, and I don't think you're a kook, but I would think these dreams indicate your closeness to the Lord. All are positive and the series ends with your acceptance of a situation in which you are suffering. These dreams could be telling you the answer to your prayers, i.e., acceptance of adversity in the sure knowledge that you're loved by the Lord. Once again, I emphasize that I have no professional credentials in this field. This is just my opinion.
