Question
Hello. I was curious to know what the Church's teach was regarding to evolution.  I have heard the Church accepts and believes it.  What can you tell about it the Church's teachings in reference to it?  Thank you for your time and patience.

Answer
The church holds that God directly creates the soul of individual human beings.  So, the body of the first human received a rational and immortal soul directly from God.  God may have used previously existing matter [body of some form of life], completed the job and infused a human soul.  God may also have done the whole job at the time of infusion.
Best wishes, Chris.
