Question
Hello, i have a question regarding salvation.  Is baptism necessary for salvation?  I was discussing this with a protestant friend of mine.  I was arguing yes, and he was saying no.  what can you tell me about this. Thank you for your time.

Answer
                       Peace

Dear Chris

Water baptism is the norm, to receive the graces of salvation. Note is a said: Water/Norm/graces.
Baptism of Desire is equally vaild under special cirumstance. Its for those who hve no means of water baptism or doesnt know of it and/or requirement. The last two require also invincible ignornce of the need.
Baptism of Blood is those who die a marytr before they can recieve water baptism that they were preparing for.

So the basic answer man is bound to water baptism but God is not. His mercy is great, and He alone can decide if one recieved the last two. I hope this is of some help.
Also if you want i can look in my collection church documents to cite the above a truths.
