Question
Hello, I was wondering what Sacred Tradition is and what examples of it would be. And would this be authentic (valid)? The question sounds a little vague, i apologize.

Answer
Tradition is an authentic and valid source of revelation.
Tradition is the living transmission of the message of revelation in the Church.  The oral preaching of the apostles and the written message of salvation under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit [the bible]are conserved and handed on as the deposit of faith throught the apostolic succession in the Church.  Both the living Tradition and the written Scripture have their common source in the revelation of God in Jesus.
For more, I refer you to the Cathechism: paragraphs 75 to 82 -- text available at nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/index.htm
If you would like more, please feel free to write again.
As always, best wishes, Chris.
