Question
Hi, I'm doing a school project, and I need a few questions answered: What is required to commit a mortal sin? What is required to make a war a just war? What was the moral tradition of the prophets? What is the main function of the college of cardinals? What is meant by the "seal of confession"? What happens at the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament? What is proclaimed in the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception? What occasion prompted Mary to say, "My soul magnifies the Lord"? Thank you so much!

Answer
                    Shalom

Dear Caitlin

First, I am glad you stated it was school project. If they were part of single night of home work, that alot reading to do.

Second, the word of some your questions are a little unsual so I am entirely sure what you are asking. And some are a page or more of writting alone.

Heres some quickie answers.
Moral Sin
   1 serious matter/action
   2 person knows it is
3 the person does the act
4 they do the act with free will

Just War
the answer warrents more then a quickie answer, so write ,me again when I have more time to fully answer it.

Moral tradition of the prophets?
Never heard that expression before do you mean Oral?

Cardinals
  the have two main functions:
1 to assist, primarily advise a pope on matters related to care of souls
2 elect a new pope when one dies or resigns

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
it when our Eucharistic Lord is adored ourside of Mass, there are number of proper ways to do this.

What is proclaimed in the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception?  I am not sure what u mean by proclaim. Its
Define: God the Father, for seeing the merits of His Son our Redeemer, granted them to Mary at her conception in a simgluar manner.

My soul magnifies the Lord---Mary declared this humble prayer when the Angel asked her to be the Mother of Lord. The whole prayer is found in Luke 1.

I did the best i could based on like said based on the way the questions were asked. Some these i have written whole pages on, I just gave quickie answers. For more details write me again but with only 1 or 2 questions at time.
