Question
Dear Fr. Timothy,

I am still in my catholic faith dont worry lol. Thanks for telling me to stay in the faith. After all Jesus did find the catholic church in 33AD. I have a couple of questions dont mind me. I am still in search of my faith learning everyday about it. I want to become an author one day too. I do how ever have this in mind how do you know you have a calling from God to religious life? How does one know that is the right path? I feel like I do but I am confused and stuck? I always visit my grandmama everyday she is my second mother she is special to me her real name is Ramona but she changed it to Carmen like St. Carmel. She liked that better. She is Catholic like me very devoted to her faith she says the novenas too. She grew up poor though like in a farm in Puerto Rico she was born in 1933 still living today. She taugh her self how to cook she is a great cook she can cook anything! From stratch I mean. For several minutes I would stop playing out side my grandmama told me to pray I did I said ok Grandma, then it happend the most glorious thing  Virgin Mary appeared in the sunny blue sky, In a spring day wearing a sky blue coat and a white pure white dress with a pink sash around her weigh underneath her she had been standing on a cloud so white I had never seen, with a cresent under her feet and holding a crucifix. And called me little flower she was beautiful. Her face is shining with love and a healthy glow. She had dark brown flowing hair with big curles at the end with ice blue eyes and white fair skinned and rosy cheeks she was wonderful. I was in awe and she had the most beautiful smile her lips were as pink as a tulip petal on a spring day. She had a scent too and it was of roses upon roses. Her halo was bright as the stars in the sky.  Below the apparition were written the words:She said wonderful things about the catholic church too these are her words:"This place is to be my house, and this image of me shall be the title and altar of the temple that you shall build in faith." "My dear little daughter, I love you. I desire you to know who I am tell every non christian and catholic to convert into this faith and stop denying ever word of God. I am the ever-virgin Mary, Mother of the true God who gives life and maintains its existence. He created all things and you my little flower. He is in all places he is everywhere even in your heart and the church. He is Lord of Heaven and Earth his name shall be great through out the ends of the earth. I desire all nations great and small all races of every tongue to say the rosary in this prayer you shall reciet where your people may experience my compassion. All those who sincerely ask my help in their work and in their sorrows will know my Mother's Heart in this place St. Ann. Here I will see their tears; I will console them and they will be at peace. So bless my heart and soul for the people of faith and tell the Bishop all that you have seen and heard."  I tried to tell the bishop John J. Myers but he is never availible and she is still waiting. She came to me again years later I was walking to the park at my grandma's house then again she had appeared I was playing with the swing. My little flower, there are many I could send. But you are the one I have chosen"

"My little flower, am I not your blessed Mother? Do not fear. Your family shall have there sign. Come back to this your room tomorrow. Only peace, my little flower." It was in 04 this happened and I was praying the rosary. And a sign appeared it was like a mericle. My foot that had a virus on it had healed completely all together no medicine at all. I was in everlasting Joy and hope. Jesus had healed I was so happy I said oh thank you mother thank you. She giggled she said you are very welcome my little flower. I had shed a tear. I had five warts as big as a little stone and a cyst and a gangilon on my left foot tords the front amazing as I saw it was gone it was on pentecost the birthday of the catholic church it happend my doctor saw it the next day getting ready to call the hospital for surgery on my foot. I was scared but I knew God was with me all the way. He is jewish he check it and his eyes grew big he choked and stuttered he was like wh what! I saw them friday and they were huge! He said you put medicine on it smiling. I said in serious manner no doctor. He said you had too. I said no I didnt. He checked it again stund he called the hospital and declared a mericle had been born he canceled the surgery on Monday. He said well you can go home now your healed. I was so happy. I said God thank you for listening. This is my mericle story. See I feel like I have a calling to religious life. Do I? Is it fun can you visit your family and on holidays.

God has spoken to His saints and prophets through visions, dreams, ... has seen numerous accounts of appearances of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Answer
Hi, Jacqueline:

You keep sharing some rather lengthy experiences here in this question forum.  I am mostly answering questions about Catholic Doctrine and Practices, not about vocation discernment and spiritual direction.  I am sorry I cannot help you out with such matters.  You need to discuss these things in person with a Priest for guidance if you think you need it.
Thank you.

I converted to the Roman Catholic Church in 1981, at the age of 15. Over the years I have done work as an organist, cantor, and choir director for the Latin Rite (English & Latin) Mass (Liturgy of the Eucharist), and even for the Hours of the Divine Office. I have worked as a cantor for a Melkite Byzantine Catholic Church. Presently my pastoral and administrative duties as a Catholic Priest do not allow me as much time as I used to have to devote to Sacred Music; but for my weekend Masses and Solemnities within my Tri-Parish, I offer High Sung Mass in English. Weekday Mass is typically Low Mass (recited Mass) in English, though on occasion I will offer the "Tridentine Mass" in Latin, which I usually offer on my "Day Off", as well. And now, in light of the "Motu Proprio" by his Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI placing the extraordinary usage of the Roman Rite back into the mainstream of the Catholic Church, I have been offering a regularly scheduled SUN, 2:00 PM Tridentine Latin Mass with a community of the faithful that has a stable existence.
