Question
Good evening,

I'm looking for some advice, I'm getting married within a 1-1/2 (June or July 2008). I've done my first communion but have not done my confirmation. Would I need to do it in order to get married in a Catholic church? if so, what would be the appropriate steps to take? and how long would the process take? I thank you in advance!

Answer
Hi Noel,

Confirmation is not required for marriage in the Church. Inquire about the process in your parish or diocese. Put the question to your church office. Times and requirements for adults vary, so I cannot give you a definitive answer. You're welcome. Good luck!
