Catholics/Mediums

Question
I am 22 years old and have already battled cancer twice. Recently, a friend spoke with a medium about me and though she filled my friend's mind with kitty cats and puppy dogs about her life she said that her friend with Hodgkin's(ME) will face many obstacles. I am extremely distressed about this. Icertainly did not want to know my future and now I'm faced with this. Is there any real reason to trust this medium?

Answer
Peace of the Lord be Yours

dear B,
No reason to trust a medium. All mediums are false prophets and even if they do predict something correctly. Sacred Scripture for bids use of their occult powers, and the magisterium of the Church also witnesses again and again against such practices.

A true prophet of God may have spoken your future struggles but they would have assured you of God's merciful love and His graces to assist you in your struggles.

Also I study Franciscan History as means of growing in my lay Franciscan calling to holiness in Christ.
