Answer
Peace

Dear Bradley

In late 300's there was Catholic Ecumenical Council in Ephensus. It called Mary the "Theotokas", which literally means the God-bearer. Its was meant to recall Jesus had two natures( human and divine) yet had one person, which is divine.

The term was used to point to fact of Christ's person not his natures. Mary gave birth to one person, that Person is Christ. Christ is God therefore Mary gave birth to God. Mary didn't create or conceive God.
