Question
I understand that the catholic church has in past had three popes from Africa, were these popes black or white and where can i find pictures of them

Answer
In the early Church, northern Africa was part of the Roman Empire and is not to be confused with "black" sub-Saharan Africa.  St. Augustine came from this area as well.  As far as pictures are concerned, you'd have to check at your local library for one of the compendia on the popes.
