Question
Good morning: I am a Roman cathoic from the archidiocese of Bombay,India. I am a word Minister. What is a Pastoral communication? Is this of any use for word ministers to proclaim effectively without fear the 'word of God'. Please give me an answer. Pax xsti James

Answer
Hi James,

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I would understand a pastoral communication to be either a (usually) written or spoken message, instruction, explanation, direction from one part of hierarchy downward. For example, Pope to church, bishop to priests or laity, or even a Council to the Church at large. I'm sorry but I don't understand your second question. Could you clarify?
