Question
Sal,
In the new testaments Jesus spoke to the Pharasies and about there evil ways.  The way
they believed themselves to be better than the
everyday man/woman.  I have read it before but now that I wish to find where he did so, can  not find the passage.  Could you help me out?

            Thanks, Fred

Answer
Dear Fred:

You may be thinking of Matthew 23. Jesus unleashes a prolonged assault on the character of the Pharisees. He calls them frauds (NAB) or hypocrites (RSV) in verses 13,15,23,25,27,29; blind guides verses 16 & 24; blind fools verse 17; blind men verse 19; blind Pharisees verse 26; serpents verse 33; and murderers verse 34.

Other passages where Jesus is in conflict with the Pharisees are
Matthew 12:1-8, 22-37; 15:1-20.
Mark 2:23-28; 3:20-30; 7:1f.
Luke 6:1-5; 11:37-54; 14:1-6.
John 5:1f; 8:1-11.

I hope that this is what you were looking for. If I can be of further help please let me know.

God Bless You,
Sal
