Catholics/Preterist doctrine

Question
Hello,

How are you today. I was trying to figure out where and when did the Preterist doctrine come about and was it ever a part of Catholic eschatalogy.

Answer
Since I was not aware of Preterist teaching, I did a web search and found numerous sites.  The names and descriptions of the sites indicate to me that is an end-of-the-world position.
I do not think that it is part of Catholic belief or eschatology.  I did not see any reference to its originators.
I apologize, Michael, but I did not think that the matter was worthy of further study.
If you would like more from me, please feel free to write again.
Best wishes.
