dear Shiratha
I hope this is not a homework assignment-lol. I will define them accordding  to their general Catholic usage.

Monastery:
a community house and lands around it for male or female monastic religious orders.

Cathedral:
a church that has rights and duties related to the bishop of its diocese. Its sometimes called the bishop's parish. Each diocese has only one cathedral. It literally means place of the throne. It refers to the bishop's throne, a sign of his authority.

Abbey:
a type of monastery, its refers to the type govenment the order uses. the head of an abbey is an abbot, which translates to father, from the latin or italian I believe.

Chapel--
a small room in a building  or building on a campus where Mass and the Sacraments can be administered and devotion.

Church--
this has several general uses. Its can refer to a building, it even refer to a group of people with the body of Christ and even refer to the whole body established by Christ. So if u want more detail, share the use of you need to know it.

Also I study Franciscan History as means of growing in my lay Franciscan calling to holiness in Christ.
