Catholics/Salvation

Question
Will all non-Catholics/non-Christians be lost/go to Hell after death?

Answer
The short answer is: not necessarily.
God wants all to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth  -- see 1 Tim 2:1-4.
Catholics have special helps to attain salvation in the Sacraments and the Mass.
However, persons who are not members of the Catholic Church can attain salvation through their faith and good works -- see The Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraphs 839-848, 1260.  The catechism is available at:  www.nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/index.htm
