Question
Regarding the passing of Fr. Wickens and the current disposition of St Anthony of Padua Chapel, was it right that 3/4 of the parishioners to leave the chapel when a diocesan priest was asked to continue Fr. Wickens work. Fr. Wickens after all was a diocesan priest.

Answer
Yes, quite right.  Fr. Wickens in the 1970s courageously rejected the New Order:  its liturgy, theology, and morality.  He made his intentions clear on many public occasions that he wanted to have nothing to do with the New Order.  This is, after all, why he established and built the chapel over the succeeding thirty years:  to give Catholics the opportunity to practice their Faith in the traditional way without being infected by the unCatholic New Order.
