Catholics/St. Joseph

Question
Father - I remember a priest once telling us that every Catholic Church must have a statue of St. Joseph.  I have recently moved to North Carolina & go to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  There is no statue of St. Joseph. There is a statue of the Blessed Mother.

Thank you for your response.

Answer
We are not aware of this requirment.  However, many churches do have side altars for the Blessed Virgin Mary and either St.  Michael or St. Joseph or a Patron Saint.  Regrettably, the unCatholic New Order that has taken over the Catholic Church since the 1960s has worked to degrade the Saints in favor of a Protestant approach.

If you are speaking of a parish church, that is probably your problem.  You want to get away from that, with its New Doctrine, New Mass, and New Morality and see a traditonal church or chapel.  If you do not know where one is, see the list at www.traditio.com under National Registry of Traditional Latin Masses.
