Catholics/Sunday Mass

Question
I was out of town a few weeks ago to visit friends. I was unable to attend Mass on that Sunday. I subsequently attended Mass since then and on Christmas day. I received holy communion while away visiting at a local Novus Ordo in my home parish. I normally (when I am home) go to the Traditional Mass at a parish in my city. I go to the Novus Ordo only when I absolutely have to go and I have no other options. Should I have confessed my absence at Holy Mass prior to receiving? thanks

Answer
It depends upon what "unable" means.  If you were sick or physically impeded from attending a Traditional Latin Mass, no.

The most important principle is that the unavailability of the Catholic and Apostolic Traditional Latin Mass is NEVER a justification to attend the invalid, Protestant-Masonic-Pagan Novus Ordo "service," any more than one would attend a Protestant service.

This is not a matter of language or preference; it is a matter of right and wrong.  It is a matter of fidelity or sacrilege.  A true Mass and a Protestantized invalid New Order "Mess."  True Catholics do not attend a "New Order" service -- ever.
