  Thank you for taking the considerate time to answer my question, and whatever advice or answers you can provide you have my immense gratitude for.

  I am a pious Roman Catholic, and have always harboured a unique and deep love for even the most minute details of the Catholic faith. I am seriously considering diocesan priesthood at this time, and there are many things I am curious of. This is indeed a strange question, a very strange one in fact, but I could not find any information on it online. I would like to know what kind of shoes or footwear a diocesan Roman Catholic priest is supposed to wear for secular dress (particularly in the European, not American, style, if there is a difference) - for example, in his black cassock and Roman Collar, what shoes would he wear to properly complete his uniform?

  Indeed, this is a bizarre question, but I'm unable to find anything about it, and verily appreciate any help you can offer.

  Nah not strange or bizarre. As for shoe I cant answer but for socks I can. most difference are color and refer to bishops of different ranks and duties. I have book that has such information but its current loaded to a friend. I will write u at your yahoo address in a few days. I will give as much details as I can.
