Catholics/infants

Question
I'm Catholic and lately have been interested in baptism.  I am really troubled by what people say when they talk about the salvation of unbaptized infants.  Most say that they will not see the beautific vision of God.  They will only be in a state of natural hapiness.  I don't understand how there can be happiness apart from God.  It seems cruel and it seems like something God would never do.  Can you explain this to me?

Answer
                     Peace

Dear Lisa
I also say natural happiness or bliss but I state it would be akin to what Adam and Eve experianced before their fall from Original Innocence. So it not what we now experiance and call happiness and is much more glorious.
